SunQest offers a complete range of Boilers and GeoXchange heat pumps. We offer systems to heat and cool water or to heat and cool air directly. The systems to heat water are often used for radiant floor heating.

Both Boilers and GeoXchange, formerly geothermal heat pumps produce hot water very efficiently to feed the radiant system. With high-efficiency combustion and reasonably low-priced fuel, boilers can be very economical to run. When natural gas is not available propane would be the candidate fuel. Unfortunately, propane is typically considerably more expensive than natural gas on a heat-value basis.

GeoXchange heat pumps are a good choice when natural gas isn't available or when the cooling loads are relatively high. GeoXchange heat pumps can both heat and cool. They can cool by conventional freon-fed air handlers or by chilled water. 40 degree chilled water can cool homes using conventional or mini-duct forced air systems, or, with ductless valances.

For efficient gas-heated water systems, consider the Voyager water heater and Munchkin boiler. Heat Transfer Products Website. Their efficiencies are over 90% and they are very reliable. The Voyager would be the choice when the radiant distribution is potable. With "closed loop" radiant designs, the Munchkin would be the better choice.

The HydroTemp line is conventional with units available for well-driven "open loop" systems or buried "closed-loop" systems. The heat pumps can heat or chilled water or directly condition the air with built-in air handlers.
